When updating to Firefox 27.0.1, the result was that my Norton Toolbar 2014.6.1.2 was disabled.

Go to Tools >> Addons >> Extensions, look for norton toolbar in its options and click on the Enable button

Unfortunately, the Norton Toolbar 2014.6.1.2 does not seem to be supported by Firefox 27.0.1. It is supported in earlier versions, but not the latest version. Thus, I cannot do as you say to enable it.

What you suggested worked. I did have to contact Norton in order to get the patch for the Norton Toolbar.
