I have been through all the Java fixes you have suggested on here, reinstalled java, didn't and don't have javafx, enabled java platform and still no "speed test button" Can anyone help please? Thanks, Jayne

This is a "mixed content" situation. Firefox has blocked the small frame where the test page is loaded because the address starts with HTTP instead of HTTPS (the main page is HTTPS): http://speedtest.telecom.co.nz/test2
When this occurs, you'll see a "shield" icon in the address bar. This article describes its significance: How does content that isn't secure affect my safety?
If you approve the site to embed the insecure page, then it runs as expected, and shows the "orange exclamation triangle" in the address bar as a reminder. (See screen shot)
P.S. If you're thinking "how was I supposed to know about that shield?" you are not alone; many users miss it.
The developers have been streamlining more and more information into small icons in that notification area instead of pop-up dialogs or information bars, so it's a good idea to glance that way whenever something seems to be missing from a page.
Hi, thank you so much! After all I did and I thought I did well not screaming for help straight away! :) I'll know now for any other sites that I have issues with. Have a great day!
