Firefox screen does not refresh after sleep

Posted

Firefox screen will not refresh on it's own after sleep. Firefox is taking keystrokes and the header changes, but the screen does not show until I click to another application window.

Hello abarli65,

Thank you for contacting Mozilla Support. I'm sorry Firefox is not being responsive when you come back from Sleep mode. I've seen a few bugs highlighting this issues that have been fixed in previous versions of Firefox.

Can I get a little more information about the problem to better understand what's going on?

  • How many tabs do you have open?
  • Does this happen with particular site or set of sites?

One thing I saw mentioned in a previous post was to open Firefox to About:Home > Put the machine to Sleep > resume and report back if Firefox is still unresponsive.

I'm looking forward to hearing back from you.

Cheers, Patrick
