How to retrieve old "Downloads" window?
I liked old window with "Download" more and i want to retrieve it back.
Chosen solution
Sorry, but that dialog has been removed. Someone might create an add-on to simulate it, but I have not heard of one yet. Meanwhile, if you press Ctrl+j or click Show All Downloads, you can see the download list in the Library dialog.

You can look at this mozillaZine forum thread about the "Download manager in Firefox 26":

The better news is that there have been conversations (slightly behind the scenes rather than within this particular forum) with forums helpers and forum staff.
It is my expectation that further comments on the situation, from Mozilla staff, may be made soon in that other thread (hopefully next week before many are off for Christmas) and so it would be worth watching that thread /questions/980127

Problem is that thread (which was the most popular on the subject) got locked. (without satisfactory help, I might add)
Most of us who are unhappy with this change are waiting for 1 of 2 things:
1) Bring back the old behaviour, as an option.
2) Post/link to a detailed guide for downgrading FF.
Thank you. :)
Modified
I guess staff did not wish, or did not find time to help explain the problem.
Generally development issues are not within the scope of this forum. I had hoped that with the new full time staffed Help Desk, maybe such issues may have been tackled.
IMHO you are not going to reverse a development decision, and certainly not by commenting here.
I have tagged the thread as escalate possibly someone will comment further.
ForumNote
N.B. I do not wish to remove the chosen solution.
The escalate tag is probably of little value in a solved question. I have cross linked this to another thread partially related that is open and flagged escalate.
