European Open 1.1 Update GPS Geolocates Next Village
My geolocation is totally screwy since 1.1 flash. It is totally inaccurate, geolocating the next village 2 miles out! I am with the UK giffgaff network & enter settings manually. The same settings worked with 1.0.1. Is this a known bug?

Upgraded through recovery via ZTE supplied ZIP.
Loving the improved stability & eagerly await 1.2!
Hello Fleamour,
Thank you for contacting Mozilla Support. I am sorry that you're seeing issues with GPS after the 1.1 update. I know that our GPS lock can be finnicky. As of now, Firefox OS only has support for GPS positioning. That results in the fact, that most of the time you will have to wait from 1 to several minutes at least for the GPS module to acquire lock on your location, and you will need clear look at the sky for the lock to be acquired.
When you had the issues with your GPS did you have a clear line of sight to the sky?
Cell-based and wifi-based geolocation is not available in the current version of the OS (1.0.1 or 1.1.0, either) but is in the pipeline.
Please let us know if this answers your question.
Cheers, Patrick
This is helpful to know, but it did work reliably indoors with 1.0.1.

Thanks.
Same problem here. My GPS worked flawlessly both in 1.0.1 and in a 1.2 pre-release, even indoors. With the official 1.1 upgrade from ZTE it locates me about 1 mile away from my location. I have tried being outside with a clear line of sight to the sky and had no improvement.
