I keep getting redirected to https://www.google.co.uk/ads/user-lists/... whenever I try buying anything online from any site. How do I stop this.

more options

When I click on the view basket option to checkout, the correct screen is briefly displayed, but then I am redirected to https://www.google.co.uk/ads/user-lists/....... and the screen goes blank. I have been onto a couple of sites to try and purchase items and had the same problems with both. I changed my search tool to bing but it hasn't stopped the problem.

Chosen solution

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

You can also do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

hello, you may want to try to reset firefox and see if this can address the issue (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)...

Hi, thanks for the advice - it seems to have done the trick! I ran the malware checks and also disabled an extension (Norton family). I carried out a test run on one of the sites that I'd had trouble with and the problem had gone.
