I need to change my username, but I also need to change my email address

My main email address is what my gmail, google, and maybe other things have been linked to since day one.

 I added another email address a year or two later, and I choose a name I liked better, and have been using this second name for most everything for a long time.

So I am thinking I may need to change my email to my original email, so everything syncs, or run smooth.

 So that is my question, and hopefully you will have an answer

All this automated stuff looked good, but didn't really tell me anything. So I am hopefully you can answer my question. Thank you for what you do........... Mike

If you are talking about the e-mail address that you posted in your profile on what ever web site, go to your profile at that site and select to change the e-mail.

I thank you for that information, but I guess the problem is that I would like to check, first or maybe change my email address on the firefox sync program.

I too wish to change my email address on my sync account.

As there appears to be no facility in sync "manage account" to do this, I am fully expecting to have to remove/demolish my existing sync account data under the old email address and set it all up again under the new email address.

You can remove the old account here and set up a new account with the new e-mail address in Firefox.

Thank you for the helpful references, but users should not have to go through this time consuming and clumsy destroy/re-create route, in order to change to a new email address for their sync account, data and devices.

I think there is some good help here, but I can't seem to figure out what to do to make this work. I think I am having other problems that are affecting the computer, and maybe some operator error......................

Hi Mike.

Were you able to create a new Sync account with your current email address and use the new Sync account for all linked devices?

You can delete the old account if you no longer intend to use it and you can't change the email address that is used as the login name of the Sync account.
