Windows 8.1 Errow in all 3 of my computers

Firefox is not working correctly in windows 8.1 computers. It does not shut down completely and then does not open with this error message. Attaching.... David@XXXxxxx.com... The window displays the message firefox is already running but is not responding. To open a new window you must first close the existing firefox process or restart your system. This is very annoying it happens all the time.

The solution given was applied and does not solve the problem. Firefox will not quit the process in Firefox 29 in Windows 8.1 Desktop Mode. Open Firefox 29, Quit Firefox 29, Try to open Firefox again, error message. Forced to quit the process using task manager every time. Never had a problem with any version including Firefox 28. Windows 8.1 Desktop Mode all updates, Firefox 29.
