My bookmarks only remember one site

I would like to mark different bookmarks but firefox will only default to one site. I change the address in the bookmarks organize area and close it. The text in the address square still defaults to the one address. Any suggestions??

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
