In my own PC,I have installed Firefox 24 and jre,and everything goes right.

But in a remote machine, which can't connect to Internet. Due to some constraints,I have to move my Firefox 24's file to that machine, not just install it.

Everything goes right except I can't find jre in plugins.

I did installed jre 6 in that machine, which I can see that from Firefox 4 or Firefox 3.But when I used Firefox 24, it just disappered.

I tried install plugin manually, but can't find any file match in the jre.

The System is Windows XP.

Can anyone help?

Thx

Chosen solution

You can download the full Java 7U45 installer from the Oracle website and save the file to an USB stick or other media to move it to the other computer.
Then you can install Java from this file on the other computer.
Make sure to have the 32 bit Java version for 32 bit Firefox.

You can find the latest Java version on the Oracle website.

See Java Platform > Java SE 7U45 (JRE Download)

If Firefox would find the plugin (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins) then check if the required registry keys were created.

Thx @cor-el

I update jre 7 and can see it in Firefox 24's plugin list.

Firefox 24 look like too new to embed with jre6
