How to enable Java if it's been blocked

In order to protect you, Firefox has stopped some versions of the Java plugin from running automatically because of security issues. However, you can still use Java on trusted sites if necessary. We'll show you how.

Table of Contents

Activate Java onceAlways activate Java for a siteWarning: You should only attempt this on sites you trust.

Activate Java once

When you see the "Click here to activate" message, simply click it to load the Java content normally.Note: The next time you visit the site or any other that uses Java you will see this message again.

Always activate Java for a site

If you have a trusted site that uses Java and you need to use that site often, you can make Java work normally on just that website.Click the red plugin icon in the address bar and a message window will open.At the bottom of the message window, click theActivate All Plugins dropdown menu and chooseAlways activate plugins for this site. Now, whenever you visit this site, the plugin will automatically run and you won't get the "Click to activate" message.Share this article: http://mzl.la/VYiQ64

As far as I know, JavaScript is always enabled on Firefox for Android and no option is provided to disable it via settings.

Please visit this site http://www.javatester.org/javascript.html that checks if JavaScript is enabled on the browser.

Let us know if this solves your question.

I am trying to watch movies on HULU and NETFLIX, BUT am unable to because javascript is not enabled so I can download FLASH. YET, in about:config it shows javascript is enabled.

Mozilla is becoming another Microsoft. I have spent about 4-5 hours trying to figure out how to activate javascript on the JAVA and MOZILLA site so I can downlaod Flash, but with NO success. Every help screen from FF is useless, or out of date.

When is Mozilla goign to learn that MOST people who use their products ARE NOT the usual computer user, and have a little more knowledge than many. Forcing us to use 3rd party scripts, like NOSCRIPT is, which does not solve the problem either, shows a total lack of respect for the users.

But, not to worry, I am watching HULU and NETFLIX on chrome, with great success. Maybe I will come to like CHROME.
