Firefox is saving limited form date (2 entries) and none on some lines, all settings are set to save form data.

I am currently using firefox version 23.0.1 Before updating firefox I was able to save all my form data on a particular website. Now there are fields that do not save any and some that will save 2 of the same entries. No matter what I do I cannot get firefox to save more than 2 entries for each field. Previously there would be 20-30 saved entries for each field, not any more. Please let me know how to fix this problem.

Hi serge07, beta test software is not for everyone. Unless you have a good reason to believe it fixes this issue, it's probably premature to recommend it.

I notice you are using the Lazarus Form Recovery extension, and I suspect it has its own system independent of Firefox's. The FAQ section on general troubleshooting is linked below, but you might want to seek other support before taking drastic action:

Hi lacroixr44

Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Here is my configuration:

    windows 7 (french)
    Firefox (french version ) 23.0.1
    Kaspeski Internet Security 2013
    add-on in Firefox:
       Linky (to open multiple tabs)
       Roboform (to complete forms)

Do you need other information ?

And again "merci beaucoup"

If it takes longer for Firefox to respond then there are two main causes. A problem with the current profile or other software (likely security software) is interfering.

The latter can be tested by booting the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen).

Bonjour cor-el

I have a now a new profile. And Firefox respond rapidly at the first login as I expected. I will test for a complete day and I will implement all my add-ons and other facilities. I will take note off the state of Firefox and inform you.

I make no change to Kasperski and it works as i should be. No problem before the nee version and not now.

My future tests will to check the memorization of forms

Merci beaucoup

Bonjour cor-el

I tested my new profile to verify two problems

  1. long waiting time to access Internet web page at first try
  2. no memorization of ALL fields and ALL forms

Here is my configuration:

   windows 7 (french)
   Firefox (french version ) 23.0.1
   Kasperski Internet Security 2013
   add-on in Firefox:
      * Linky (to open multiple tabs)
      * Roboform (to complete forms)

The first problem is corrected now :NO long time forts the first connection.

The second problem (memorization of some fields in forms) is still present but randomly : some fields are memorize, some not. All the the field identified as a password are correctly memorize.

I don't understand why some fields cannot be memorized by Firefox 23.0.1

I checked with all these combinations:  :

  • with and without Kaspersky (JKIS2013)
  • with and without Linky (to open multiple tabs)
  • with and without Roboform (to complete forms)

I begin to suspect that my problem is NOT with Firefox but with different others parameters of my computer.

I need help for

  1. Do you have suggestions to check somethings somewhere else?
  2. How can I check if Firefox has the good parameters ?

Thank you (merci beaucoup)

A patch to fix the double listings was added to the code base for Firefox 24 beta on Sept. 4th and should be available in the next beta release (date unknown) or in the final release of Firefox 24.
