Bye, bye Firefox. You've lost me...again.
I abandoned Firefox 3 years ago because it had gone from the fastest and best browser on the market to the slowest and worst. I recently decided to give it another shot. I was quite please that it is MUCH improved in speed. However, after having to reset my default search engine from Bing to Google EVERY TIME I START FIREFOX UP. I'm out. Sorry, kids. You had a good product at one point. It is not anymore. Best of luck to ya.

Sorry to hear that you quit over a rather trivial setting. I had no problem removing Bing.
Thanks for the response brunohaxes. Please advise. I've removed Bing four times today alone and yet it comes back. What did you do? I went into about:config...no good.
On the search bar dropdown menu (where you can select which search engines the search bar uses) you also have the option to manage search engines. Select Bing and remove it.
I've done that as well, but have just done it again. Maybe I didn't close out properly or something the last time. What also resets itself back to Bing is searching directly from the web address bar.
Thanks.
Do you have any toolbars or addons that might cause this?
I suspected this and removed all toolbars and add-ons a few days ago. My motivation at that time was actually speed. Something was slowing FF down, so I removed them all. I think I pinpointed the problem child there, but I have not re-installed others.
Hello, can you check it in a new profile please ?
