Firefox 23.0.1 won't play yahoo videos, running Windows 8

I have tried all the troubleshooting and checked other support articles and users with similar problems, but still no luck.

All plugins are up to date. Internet Explorer plays all these files without any problem, so I know it has to be Firefox issue or bug.

For example, I cannot play this video on Firefox, but it plays on IE

Problem solved! Download Firefox 24.0 Beta. All my videos starting working on yahoo and BBC.

Problem solved! Download Firefox 24.0 Beta. All my videos starting working on yahoo and BBC.

I have the same problem but with Mac OS X 10.8.4. I downloaded the Beta 24.0 but still doesn't work. The videos will play - sort of! All I get is the top left-hand quarter of the videos. These play just fine in Safari but this problem has just started occurring since I installed 23.0.1. I would hate to have to go back to using Safari but if this isn't resolved soon, I will have to.
