I'm running Windows XP SP3 and have followed the instructions on your website. However, not only will the computer NOT uninstall from the add/remove programs screen, the Mozilla Firefox Helper.exe file will NOT open!! Suggestions? Thank you in advance.

  1. Find the Firefox root folder and delete it
  2. Type %appdata% in the Run window
  3. Open the Mozilla folder
  4. Delete the Firefox folder

This should work. If it doesn't, comment below. I have Windows XP SP3 as well and have removed Firefox using this method before.

Out of curiosity, why are you deleting Firefox anyway?
