System restore has deleted bookmarks and bookmark backups
Hi, my father in law was trying to install a Sonos speaker on his PC and needed to go back to an earlier configuration using System Restore. He's done that, but lost all his firefox bookmarks during the process.
I don't know whether it's installing the necessary Sonos drivers or the restore that's done it, but his latest bookmarks backup is yesterday. It also appears to have lost his browsing history (and I'm guessing, all his cookies too).
Is there another way to get them back?
Thanks in advance...

Just an update: The driver install and/or the system restore had made Firefox change to a new profile. I was able to remotely restore the bookmarks from the old profile via RDP (Really Desperate Phonecall)

Firefox backup your Bookmarks daily, so recover it from profile
Thanks for replying, but he's only got backups showing from after the System Restore - two for them, yesterday and today, and they are empty files... :(
Try with undo windows restore, copy the Bookmarks and redo the windows
Thanks for that - it doesn't appear to have recovered them - I wasn't expecting it to, because bookmarks shouldn't be touched by system restore, but then again, they shouldn't have been touched first time around either...
I'm wondering if it's possible the Sonos driver install has deleted the default profile or created a new one...

Who did you make that "Really Desperate Phonecall" to?
