How do I disable the new "feature" that disables outdated plugins unless they are clicked?

I have Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202 Version: 11,2,202,297 installed. It is the latest available for Linux.

I have Firefox 17.0.7esr that I have been happily using for some time, in my home folder. Today I reinstalled my OS.

Now I have the hand holding CTP dialog coming up every time I hit a site with flash. I've hunted high and low for an answer and no-one seems to be able to disable it.

I'm not looking for stupid answers such as "You should update!" and any such answer will be treated with utter distain.

Are there any plugins that I can install to overule this "bug" Has anyone figured out a way to disable it?

Sorry Waka, that was a pretty useless answer. It was the kind of stupid answer I warned not to give.

I want to know how to permanently disable "Click to Play" or a plugin that automatically clicks the stupid button before I see it.

Otherwise I will go back to Firefox 16 or worse, Firefox 10ESR and recommend others to do the same, until this "bug" is fixed. Firefox is far too useful to me to move to Opera or Chrome.

What I don't understand is why it NEVER occured with exactly the same version on an older OS (that no longer is supported). The Firefox files have NOT changed, they live in my home folder under bin/firefox. This to me, suggests there must be a way around the unintelligent refusal to let users choose for themselves.

I'm no wizard but I know my way around the commandline. The old OS is still installed. I can run commands against Firefox in both OSs. Anybody incensed enough to help figure this out?
