I tried to fix it andnow it comes up but i get a "user account control" window every time for permission.

For awhile it [Firefox] wasn't appearing when i clicked for it to go on . I tried to fix it by right clicking and doing what it said but now ---every time I do, a permission panel appears. I have to click Yes to go on and use Firefox....

Are you running Firefox in compatibility mode?

Check that Firefox isn't set to run as Administrator. Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties". Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.

  • Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
  • "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" should not be selected

Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
