Make sure that you do not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing mode.

  • Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"

Do you see any passwords in the Password Manager?

cor-el, you seem to have some standard copy-and-paste text to say "Make sure that you do not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing mode."

I'm sure you're right, but could you be kind to this stupid, ignorant user and explain why one shouldn't run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing mode? The link you point to (https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Private+Browsing) doesn't explain that, as far as I can see.

Thanks
