Uninstalling probably won't resolve the slowness issue, but we can resolve that in other ways.

Have you tried to Reset Firefox? Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems

Question owner

Your My Web Search plug-in probably isn't the major cause of your problems but it won't be helping. Google "problems with my web search" for information.

Also, this re my web search from the Search Box above may help -

Hi Alan tried all you suggested and still cannot uninstall firefox almost like its glued there. it seems my only solution will be to clean my computer entirely thanks fo the help appreciated

Have you tried a separate uninstaller? A number of software products e.g. CCleaner have a built-in uninstaller or something like Revo Uninstaller.

Normally you could try installing the update over the existing version but if it is as dead as you say . . .
