I would like to fix a bug, but I need to know the leading developer for Firefox sync. I need verification of a Mozilla dev for a class project prerequisite.

I found bug 859889 on Bugzilla, I would like to develop a patch for it. In my software development class, my professor asked us to get the permission of a leading developer for our project proposal. If you can direct me to such a developer, that would be great. The dev in question should also have access to Firefox Android's code base, as to apply the patch if completed and accepted.
