Sigfig website data not updating automatically.

Posted

Sigfig is a financial portfolio tracker. It is a website that provides realtime stock info. At first it was working fine and then stopped updating. I upgraded to the latest version of Firefox and it started working. A couple of days ago it stopped again. I cleared the cache, restarted pc but no luck.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Note that you have two Flash plugins installed.

  • Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202
  • Shockwave Flash 11.0 r1

You can set the plugin.expose_full_path pref to true on the about:config page to see the full path of plugins on the about:plugins page.

It is best not to leave that pref set to true as it exposes that full path to web servers via the navigator.plugins object, so reset that pref to false after you are done with the about:plugins page.
