I never had this problem before, it only started after the update to Firefox 19. After completing a download, FF crashes, when the crash happens FF closes and doesn't give the option to send a report.

I already disabled virus scanning and it didn't solve the problem.

I'm using Windows 8 64 bits.

Try to update the graphic display driver to the latest version (you seem to have two Nvidia display cards).

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Thank you for your replies.

@feer56, when I go to about:crashes none of these crashes is registered, the last logged crash is from 30-01-2013, so FF isn't registering these download crashes hence not sending reports either.

@cor-el, yes I have two NVidia cards, I will update the driver as soon and follow your instructions as soon as I get home.
