well I would do exactly that, but now it crashes when I type there... abou crash

rebooted and it lasted longer, crash reports follow:

When I enter as search term Firefox often crashes after typing two letters. If it is helpful here are my last five crash reports:

Bill, your issue is likely due to an ancient Adobe Reader plugin, please check for that, and if needed start a new thread.

This looks more like an issue with Norton security software (Norton Confidential or Norton Identity Safe) because DLLs like coFFPlgn.dll or couictlr.dll are present in the crash reports.

I had a lot of problems getting Identify Safe to work. It seems to be OK now but that may be the reason for the crashes.
