Most likely it is because the website is poorly coded. Some mobile websites are designed/tested only with specific browsers such as Apple's iOS Safari or Google's Stock Android browser. Let the website owner know that you use Firefox for Android and that there is broken functionality in their site.

I don't think they will care a bit about Firefox browser for Android. :)
