During an uninstall, windows uninstall utility stuck and after an hour, I closed the program. It did not uninstall can i reopen the program. Help!

I am running windows 8. In addition, I have tried to re-install but now when I try to open firefox, I get an error about not finding my user profile. A firefox icon (not the normal but a windows type icon) still shows in the windows uninstall utility but I am unable to uninstall it...

I only wanted to uninstall because flash just does not work in firefox. I am finding the browser cumbersome and useless because it sticks every time flash content tries to load.
