Simply want to know whether or not files streamed via the Windows Media plugin are cached, and if so where?
Thanks.

cor-el 5 years ago Streamed files are never cached.
Streaming works by passing the stream URL to the media player who then handles all media data.
The Windows Media Player sues the IE Temporary Internet folder cache, so you can check there. -

cor-el 5 years ago Media files that are streamed aren't saved to the disk cache, so you won't find them on your computer.
Other media files may be in the Firefox disk cache or in the IE temporary files folder in case of MS plugins.
