Hello guys :)

I'm on latest macosx and latest firefox. I tried the application called Stylish to add custom css. I was in a haste to check work it or not and wrote:

star_selector { display: none } for all sites.

And that killed my firefox. I can see only white screen: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/22619948/i_firefox.png

No bars and nothing opens from menu. Can't wrote about:config or open tools->addons or Help->troublehoot.

I tried to reinstall app several times. But it is not a solution.

I checked this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data but I have not firefox directory in library / application support. Probably I delete it early. I still can see old bookmarks and addons in menu. They don't dissapeare.

Yes, this is one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made :). Ideas left me. I will be very grateful for the help.

P.S. There is nothing I need to save from data. I can reinstall it with no wories about bookmarks or something.

Found a solutions.

I looked at: Machintosh HD/Library/... and there is nothing

Need to look in: Machintosh HD/Users/<username>/Library/... there a firefox folder with all profile data.

The trouble is in that folder kinda hidden or something. This folder is not shows in finder. There is no "Go" menu link like in article above: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/22619948/i_library.png

Need to use file manager like muCommander

You can use one of these to start Firefox in Safe mode:

  • On Windows, hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox with a double-click on the Firefox desktop shortcut
  • On Mac, hold down the Options key while starting Firefox
  • Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled
  • the default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored
  • the default toolbar layout is used
  • the Javascript JIT compiler is disabled
  • hardware acceleration is disabled
  • plugins are not affected
