How do I get tihe downloaded add on (emicon) to function when writing emails, no indications occur.

Emo_Icon_Bata_0.13 does not function for any of my email, texts, in any browser from FF. IE, Google, or Windows Live mail, and other add-on seem to work perfectly. I see no menus or any indication that I can choose an emotion using ( Ctl + Space) keys. Windows7, Yahoo, Comcast and Google. Using Firefox mainly Marty W

PS. at this time the add-on is disabled in my laptop, but there.

Tried to initiate use and different links to download, the first time of which it did not appear in my download temp file, but the second tme it appeard there, but I was instructed to re-start, rather than open the file downloaded. I complied.
