hello teresa, the first extension in your list of addons is probably causing the issue (Avery Toolbar 3.15.4.100013, id: toolbar@ask.com).

some piece of adware has also overwritten the search provider used when searching from the awesome bar. you might want to install the search reset addon - it will revert the most common customziations those adware programs do in firefox back to the default: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/

for information about pinning tabs see Pinned Tabs - keep favorite websites open and just a click away

Maybe you should reset all preferences as there seem to be a lot that have been modified (e.g. network.http and plugin.expose_full_path should have the default value). If you haven't changed them yourself and don't know what they are about then you should leave them at the default.

You can delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.
