Can you fix or remove that annoying little green circle with white check mark in it to not show anymore, when I log into the Soundcloud he is there, when I enter on one of forums that I go he is there below RSS feeds on every topic, and on some other sites that I can't remember all of their names I noticed him two, I tried on other browsers and there were no sign of that green circle there.

Here are site names that I found green circle is appering on: http://www.croportal.net/forum/ http://soundcloud.com (when you try to login he is going left and right below logging in message)

here is a screenshot that I catch for you: http://imageshack.us/a/img35/6117/28561320.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img196/1351/ff2vg.jpg

hello Thermaltake, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems

i tried to disable all plugins all extensions and still same.

Little bit off my topic. I did some tests by myself in browser benchmark on site http://browsermark.rightware.com/ and I find that on DOM test and javascript test browser completly froze few times for a few seconds, do you know anything about that ?

No one knows, is that bug or something, does engineers know about that problem ?

you could try to reset firefox (might also help with the separate freezing issue that you've asked about) - this will keep your bookmarks & passwords: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

But why reset if this is fresh install of Firefox 2-3 days old ?

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Still same in safe mode. If you want I can put screenshot if you don't believe me.

This isn't only in v.17 this happend in 16 and 15 I think two don't remember if it was in 14 two or not, but it sure is very annoying when you surf and see that on page, I didn't find that problem in other browsers.

Something that I discovered a little offtopic. Why is firefox putting .tmp files in his folder in {Hard disk letter}:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox isn't that suppost to be in Windows/temp or in local/temp ?

more options

If you see tmp files the Firefox program folder then this may be caused by the background update service that wasn't able to update files properly.
A possible cause is security software or other (permission) issues that prevented the updater from replacing the original files or writing to the program folder folder at all.

more options

I disabled firefox updates, I do that manually..

no one knows ?

Try a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.

Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.

  • Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.

Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

Also check the settings in your security software (firewall, anti-virus) for Firefox (e.g. remove all existing permissions and let your software ask again for permission).

Read my fifth post I did that already install fresh copy of firefox delete all the thing for program files, user/local, registry did a clean with ccleaner two. I remove all my personal data cause I have xmarks and lastpass so I don't mind removing that two, and still same. I don't have any firewall, my antivirus don't have anything to do with it.
