I just got a brand spanking new Win 8 computer (intl English). The only things installed on it are Adobe Master's Collection, Steam, Office and Firefox. In addition I tried installing adblocker, because that's a must for me and if this problem is resolved by removing it I will have to switch to another browser.
Now, the problem is that FF is having problems loading pages with CSS. Occasionally, this results in a pages with nothing at all (except background color, it seems) or with just unformatted text. Most of the time this is fixed by doing a shift+reload, but not always. Some times it's just partially fixed and some elements don't load still.
I've tried disabling all extensions and plugins and I've also tried resetting FF. The problem always comes back. I've even tried resetting my hosts file.
Do you have any more ways of fixing it? I believe I've done everything in my power, except change browsers (which I really don't want to do unless it's my only option).
The only thing I haven't tried, which I'll try now, is unpin all my app tabs and see if that fixes anything. I'll update this if I can...
Pages affected: Facebook (some of the time), Couch Potato (installed on my server - never seen this on other computers or even other browsers on my computer, always), MyFitnessPal (occasionally), and some low-tech dating page I'm on.
Cheers, Lars
-
Tiwas 5 years ago Nope. Didn't help unpinning the app tabs...I'm stuck, and I've spent four days experimenting :S

cor-el 5 years ago So, it still happens with a new an clean profile without extensions?
In that case you may have security software (firewall, anti-virus) that block some content.
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (MAC)
You can also try to use the Web Console (Web Developer > Web Console;Ctrl+Shift+K) to see if you can identify network related issues.
-
Tiwas 5 years ago Yes, it happens with a clean profile. As for the security software, the first thing I did when I got the computer was removing the Symantec bloatware. The only security software now is Windows Defender. I guess I could try disabling the built-in windows software firewall...
The reload option isn't always an option. For one it's just irritating having to do it all the time for some pages and for a couple, like couch potato, it doesn't even work.
I'll have a look at the web console after work - thanks :)
-
Tiwas 5 years ago Hmmm...no change when disabling the firewall, and nothing really bad in the web developer log.
This is what I'm getting from Facebook:

Tiwas 5 years ago One more update - just to be sure, I ran the symantec removal tool in case there was something left behind the scenes (as there used to be) after uninstalling their software. Still no go.
-
Silent1ucidity 5 years ago I have the same problem here. I just have windows defender installed. I am attaching a screenshot of facebook. It happens for a lot of websites though. I hardly have any add-ons installed. I am currently running FF 16.0.2
I have tried the solution of pressing the Shift key and left clicking the reload button and it worked for me.
-
Tiwas 5 years ago Wish I could help you, but it seems I may have "solved" my problem after a frentic fit I had last night. Ran the Symantec removal tool three times in a row, uninstalled FF, deleted all FF files (but kept my profile), reinstalled FF and copied back my profile. Now it seems to work - knock on wood.
My best bet would be that the deletion did more than the uninstall and that fixed it.
-
Mataxia 5 years ago I'm having this same exact problem. Just got a new laptop with Windows 8 and firefox has been acting strange on it (CSS problem but also sites seem to be loading slowly in general). I did what you did Tiwas and uninstalled it and deleted all the firefox files on my computer, and it was running fine for a short period of time but the issues started popping up again. I think I'm going to have to switch to chrome for now, which sucks because I've been using firefox for years but I don't know what else to do. Maybe firefox just has some sort of compatibility issues with Windows 8 right now since it's so new, I can't think of any other explanation.
-
jefrotone 5 years ago Firefox 17 not loading images november 2012 Firefox 16 not loading images 2012 Firefox 17 css not loading
I came in and registered to say that I'm having the same problem as well , even with the new beta v17b0.6, v16, and v17 stable. Running new and clean OS. Mac OSX Moutain lion 10.8.2. Pages look like Silent1ucidity's image. Please fix this, I really like Firefox but now I'm looking at Chrome. Running on Chrome before this post and no errors/ no css errors/ no page loads with just text. It has to be the browser! OS is fresh install and browser has been used with fresh profile and also with plugins installed. Same error regardless.

Thanks for reading.
PS: did run on Windows 7 and same error or bug.

jefrotone 5 years ago Temp Solution: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/css-reloader/

-
tibel 5 years ago Also have the same issue.
Has someone created bugzilla issue for that???
-
Mataxia 5 years ago Well, turns out the same exact thing is happening in chrome. I uninstalled Norton as I've never used it in the past (my laptop came installed with it) and I've heard that it can cause problems with browsers sometimes. Still having the same issue in both firefox and chrome. I've tried all sorts of google searches and have not been able to find any solutions to this problem (other than shift refreshing, which I basically have to do anytime I go to a page now thus isn't really a solution). As I said before the only explanation I can think of is that it has something to do with Windows 8, and maybe I just haven't been able to find anything about this problem via google because it's so new. It sucks because I'm trying to enjoy my brand new laptop and I'm constantly annoyed from having to refresh multiple times every single time I go to a website. So if anyone else out there with Windows 8 is having similar problems and has possibly found a solution, let us know.
-
cor-el 5 years ago Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Creating a profile":
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
You can also consider to reset Firefox:
-
Tiwas 5 years ago I urge you people to try the same I did. For one, I uninstalled and made sure it was installed on my system drive. I only have 128GB on that one (SSD), but it seems it was necessary. I also ran the symantec tool several times.
As for the other solutions:
- reload: One, it doesn't always work and it still sucks. Especially when trying to submit forms.
- reset FF: As I stated in the original post, that doesn't help one iota.
-
tibel 5 years ago I have a clean install of Win 8 and Firefox 17, no additional Anti Virus Software installed. Also did a uninstall, delete profile and reinstall of Firefox. Nothing helped.
-
jameskb101 5 years ago I am having the same problem too and it's driving me bonkers. I have tried the following:
- Re-installing FF and creating a new profile (did not resolve the issue) - Disabling all add-ons to FF (did not resolve the issue) - Using Chrome instead (did not resolve the issue, still happens in Chrome)
The "shift" refresh trick does work (sometimes) but this is not a long term viable solution.
This is only happening to me since upgrading to Windows 8, does not happen on my Win 7 PCs.
Any solution (permanent, not temporary or work-around) would be appreciated. Given this happens in Chrome and Firefox, this is probably the wrong forum for this error, but thanks anyway.
-
TheAncient 5 years ago Same here on my (freshly installed) Samsung Windows 8 64 bit and using Firefox 17.0.1. Reinstall without success, also disabled all Add-Ins, no Chance.
I uninstalled the default installation of Norton Anti Virus. However, I don't see any problems with the deinstallation.
My Windows 7 machines have not this problem, must be something with Windows 8.
-
literakl 5 years ago I have samsung notebook with Win 8 and norton antivirus as well. It seems that css styles are not loaded from time to time (several times per hour). Chrome has same issue. I uninstall norton but it occured again after reboot. Very annoying :-(
-
TheAncient 5 years ago Does it only happen on Samsung machines? Might be an issue of some Samsung driver?
-
Mataxia 5 years ago My laptop is also a Samsung. So maybe that does have something to do with the issue.
-
Silent1ucidity 5 years ago Well I too have a Samsung Series 5 laptop with NVIDIA Optimus and I upgraded to Windows 8 as soon as it was released
-
TheAncient 5 years ago Check here, same topic on the Google Chrome forum. Solution here seems to be to just create a new (chrome) user profile.

tibel 5 years ago I also have a Samsung Series 7. I did a clean install of Win8, not an update. If it is Samsung driver related has anybody tested to uninstall some of them if this solves the problem? (e.g. use generic Intel HD driver instead of Samsung)
-
TheAncient 5 years ago I have a new Samsung Series 9 machine which came freshly installed, no update either. No, I don't know were to start actually.
I just removed the IntelliMemory Tool, no success.
-
jameskb101 5 years ago So this most definitely seems to be a Samsung Windows 8 problem, and there is a similar thread on Chrome here: https://productforums.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/chrome/c4i8WfJIoyA
I think the solution posted there by Witor seems to work in Chrome, but not sure if there will be an equivalent in FF. This solution has worked for me in Chrome so far (after 5 hours):
- Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar (3 horizontal lines).
- Select Settings.
- Click Show advanced settings.
- In the "Users" section, click Add new user.
- The confirmation dialog Appears, choose a picture and enter a name for the new Chrome user.
- Click Create.
- A new window for the user Appears, with the picture you've chosen for the user in the top corner. Here, you can sign in to your Google Account with Chrome to associate the account with the user. Once signed in, all your bookmarks, apps, extensions, theme, and browser settings will Appear in the new user you just created.
- Now that you have all your stuff in the new user, you can simply go back to the settings and delete the first user.
- If all goes well, the problem should not return.
This is really a work-around, not a fix, but hopefully future Samsung updates will fix this permanently across all browsers.
Good luck. Will repost if the problem returns
-
tibel 5 years ago Using a new profile didn't help on my side.
I disabled "Intel Identity Protection Technology" plugin and now the problem seems gone. Can someone confirm this?
-
Mataxia 5 years ago Just disabled that plugin, I'll see how it goes over the next day or so and report back.
-
TheAncient 5 years ago No, sorry. I don't have this Plugin installed and suffer the same problems. And also the Chrome problems seem not be related to this Plugin.
-
Mataxia 5 years ago Yeah, doesn't seem like that plugin was the problem. Seemed to work for about an hour and then the problem popped up again.
FYI, I've been using Opera for the past week or two. Out of all the browsers I've tried (Firefox, Chrome, IE, and Safari), Opera is the only one that doesn't have any issues on my Samsung/Windows 8 combo. Obviously that's not an actual solution, and I'd rather use Chrome or Firefox, but Opera does the job for now. Figured I'd let you guys know.
-
TheAncient 5 years ago Another hint for Samsung Users i retrieved from the Chrome forums:
Uninstall the Samsung Support Center. That seems to have done the trick for some Chrome users. I did a couple of minutes ago and will report back my learnings right here.

tcmsurfer 5 years ago Hello,
I thought I'd join into this thread also. I bought my mother a new laptop from Samsung (Win8) and set it up for her when we noticed the problem.
Funny thing was that our old laptop also broke, so I got us a replacement (also from Samsung).
We have the same problems and today I tried to trace the problem via firebug net analyzation and wireshark. I wasn't able to reproduce the problem at all though.
However later tonight I tried it again and the problem reappeared on a page with a video file. Even pressing CTRL-F5 didn't bring it back. A short analysis showed, that the Flash SWF didn't load. Browsing to the URL of the SWF File yielded in an error. Verifying the page was working on another computer, I checked the firefox cache entry. Sure enough the file is in the cache referenced. The actual file on the harddrive though (including the last subdirectory in the cache path) is missing.
So every time this page loaded the sequence is:
- Ask Server if file is new --> Server says SWF is not modified
- Firefox tries to use cached file but the file on the drive itself is missing
- Therefore the page is not displayed correctly.
Usually CTRL-F5 should refresh the whole cache, however apparently SWF Files seems to be an exception here. The reason behind this may be, that the file is loading *afterwards* by a javascript, which doesn't know the that the file needs refreshing.
This leads me to believe that the cache on the harddrive might be corrupt.
I have also observed that clearing the cache resolves the problem for a while (tried it twice, once before I did the initial wireshark/firebug testing).
I have AntiVir (Free Edition) installed as Virus Scanner and have deactivated it for now. My guess is that somehow in combination with Win8 the files of firefox don't get written on the harddrive correctly.
It is also possible that the cache system in firefox has a bug only shown in certain situations.
This is why creating a new Profile might work as a permanent solution.
So the effects (corrupt firefox cache ) of the still unknown root cause are clear now.
Current workaround: Flush your Data Cache (Options: Advanced Button, Tab "Network" Button "Clear Now" under Cached Web Content)
I would like to know the opinion of a firefox/mozilla developer on this.My firefox installation on the samsung is pretty slim and it doesn't contain much content to show the error.
I even tried disabling the Intel Protection Plugin. Curiously it reactivated after restart.
-
tcmsurfer 5 years ago ... I will create a bugzilla for that one to request a formal answer ...
-
TheAncient 5 years ago Really try to Uninstall the "Samsung Support Center". I did it, like many in/on the Chrome forums, no issue since uinstalling. I bet this fixes the probelm.
Yes, it is something with the Cache. I wonder what the "Support Center" has to do with the cache.
It has nothing to do with the Intel Add-in, we already checked this a couple of posts before.

airbuz 5 years ago Just contributing that same exact issues here, both FF and Chrome. Brand New 7 Series Samsung NP700G7C-T01CA with Win8. It came packaged with Norton but removed it right after first boot, used the removal tool as well, and am now running ESET.
Will try the new profile trick and uninstalling the samsung support and report right back. What I have tried:
1) reinstalling the browsers 2) disabling all add-ons 3) disabling ESET 4) clearing JAVA cache 5) clearing browser history/data/cache 6) completely uninstalling and resinstalling JAVA (both x86 + x64) 7) trying FF beta version called "Nightly"
- updated
8) ran the Norton Removal Tool 4 times 9) changed to a new user profile in Chrome
All FAIL!

Tiwas 5 years ago Looking forward to hearing if this fixes it for more people. Seems my problem got sorted when I reinstalled FF to the primary drive instead of using the large one...But I cannot find Samsung Support in Programs and Features, so might not be able to uninstall...unless it's disguised? Anyone looked for a more recent version of that program?
-
airbuz 5 years ago Firstly, under 'Programs and Features' look for just "support center"
BUT
secondly, it DID NOT fix anything for me. Uninstalled it, rebooted, cleared java cache, cleared all internet data under 'internet options' in control panel and it literally reappeared first site I tried to load. Both FF and Chrome.
Also when loading gmail it just hangs at the gmail loading screen and have to refresh a bunch of times (with or without holding SHIFT) to get through (this was always one of the symptoms too but forgot to mention it and haven't seen anyone reference that one yet).
Sooooooooooo still stuck. Very very very tempted to wipe this laptop clean and somehow get 7 back on here.
-
tibel 5 years ago @TheAncient: Where did you read this info on "Samsung Support Center" in Chrome forums? May you share the link please.
-
TheAncient 5 years ago @tibel: Sure, it is another thread not the one from my earlier posts.
[201-225-false Chrome not completely loading webpages after Windows 8 upgrade] (the link directs you right in the middle of a very long thread, right were the thing with Support Center starts)
For me it really solved the problem until now. Another thing I did in the same step, I just remember, was changing the Firefox Proxy Settings from "Use system default" to "no proxy". MIght also be related.
-
airbuz 5 years ago oh boy don't want to jinx myself but I think it's gone away!
I'm inclined to think it was me deleting the samsung software but as stated couple posts up I had already tried this and it didn't work at that time.
What I think the culprit is, as most instructions state, is to clear the cache after doing this, which I had, but I think the cache wasn't properly or fully cleared. I saw a reference somewhere else and someone had stated to use ccleaner to FULLY clear all cache's as the browser options don't thoroughly get rid of everything.
So this is the only thing I have changed since my post, plus I deleted one more samsung app (SWUpdater I think it was called) and so far it's been the longest I've gone and the issue has NOT returned in either browsers!
So for everyone still experiencing the issue try ccleaner for clearing the caches.
Post back your results.
-
tcmsurfer 5 years ago I have created BugZilla Entry...
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=825665
... to tackle the problem. So far it seems like I got some positive response on my report. I'll do some testing for them later tomorrow and will report how things are coming.
-
tcmsurfer 5 years ago BTW the gmail getting stuck is due to the javascript files not being loaded. I suspect this is all the same phenomenon that the cache is either not saved to disc correctly or too much data is purged when the cache starts to clean up.
This is just an educated guess, but hopefully further testing will reveille the actual problem.
For those who supposedly solved their problem:
I hope you've found a way around it permanently, but it might return again for good. I for my part will want this problem reproducible to find the root cause to fix it correctly.
-
TheAncient 5 years ago You should have added that it is also a Chrome problem...and at least for many people it IS related to Samsung Software (e.g. Support Center) that adds some "diagnostic tools" to the System.
-
jameskb101 5 years ago Today I updated the BIOS (to Version P10AAH) of my Samsung laptop following a new release in SW Update, but I can confirm that this did not resolve the problem in Firefox.
I will continue using Chrome with the partial solution I previously posted until I hear the outcome of the Bugzilla or another fix. I have not tried uninstalling the support center yet, as others have suggested.
-
TheAncient 5 years ago Just try it. You can easily re-download and re-install it.
-
airbuz 5 years ago Still gone for me so I'll consider it a fix for me, again:
(Samsung 7 Series)
- Removed SWUpdater and Support Center
- Used CCleaner to fully clear all internet cache's
- Rebooted
That's it! Days with no issue, both FF and Chrome. The gmail loading/hanging issue went away too!
-
TheAncient 5 years ago Exactly: Still no issues since 3 days now (compared to hourly errors). I am still a bit further: You can safily reinstall SW Updater, no issues with this tool (and far more helpful than the Support center).
-
robbycru 5 years ago Yes, I also have Samsung series 5 and windows 8. And have the same problem. Firefox and Samsung has to do something about it!!!

-
johnnye 5 years ago @theancient: wish it were that easy.

robbycru 5 years ago I went to the website of samsung support, they gave me a link to update driver tools. Then I had to reboot the laptop. I needed to do some work on installing everything again, but the problem is resolved now.

michalzyg 5 years ago I have the same problem (windows 8, samsung laptop, firefox 18).
sorry for my English.
I tried to shut off hardware acceleration and set internet connection "without proxy", then I tried to set manual cache size, all these things doesn't work.
I disabled Support Center auto start in Task Scheduler ( S Agent ) and it works. I didn't clean cache with ccleaner only in normal way per button clear cache in options. Pages loaded properly for one day. But now I can`t load facebook page and it isn't css error, I can't connect to this page. All another pages work good only this silly page won't load. I cleaned cache with ccleaner and disabled SW updater but nothing helps. Any idea what else can I do ?

shane_tactical1 5 years ago So glad i found this! Thought i was going nuts as i have had this same issue in both Chrome and FF since i upgraded my Samsung Series 7 laptop to Windows 8. It seems this is an issue with Samsung machines so im going to head over to Samsung and speak to them there and show them this link. You shouldnt have to uninstall and screw around with their software or use workarounds for something simple like using a web browser. If i hear anything back i will post it here.
-
robbycru 5 years ago Hi guys, do not worry! Samsung has already fixed the problem, you just need to update windows. I chat with Samsung operator and he gave me a link for an update. Everything is fine now.
-
shane_tactical1 5 years ago What is the link please Robby? I just spoke to Samsung support and they were rubbish. Tried to blame everyone else and said "well no one else is reporting this issue". I had pasted the link to here but they said they couldnt view third party websites. So i pasted snippets from here but still a no go.
-
robbycru 5 years ago Shane, the link was http://orcaservice.samsungmobile.com/SWUpdate.aspx. But I am not sure, if it is the same for every samsung?
-
robbycru 5 years ago You also need to reboot the system afterwords.
-
shane_tactical1 5 years ago Thanks Robby. Just checked and i already am on version 2.1.6.45
-
shane_tactical1 5 years ago Thanks for posting that link. I posted a comment at the end but its probably best i post it here. (Edit: It still displays at the end so guess you cant reply to individual posts) I downloaded the file and then checked my version of SWUpdate and saw i was already on that version so didnt need to update. I think i may have installed the updated version last night but im not 100% sure. I know i updated the graphics card but cant remember if i updated SW update as well. I cant remember if i have experienced the issue today or not today? I have got so used to just going in and clearing my cache and reloading the page since i upgraded to windows 8 that its become second nature. I cant get it to do the error right now though so maybe it is fixed? It is usually very frequent i know that and i cant get it to do it now which is a good thing. I will try it out for the rest of today and if it still doesnt do it then hopefully your post will help others out that have the issue. SW Update is very handy so removing it is a pain especially with windows 8 being a very new OS that no doubt more issues will be found inrelation to drivers and software.
-
TheAncient 5 years ago As mentioned: My problem wasn't SW Update but Support Center. SW Update is already running. Meanwhile weaks are ago since i deinstalled Support Center and the error hasn't returned. I consider it fixed, cause was defintly some Samsung crap software (Support Center), which i still do not understand fully is the purpose of the software and what it really does. It seems to hook in somewhere in the system for diagnostic stuff.
-
shane_tactical1 5 years ago There was an update to support centre quite recently TheAncient so maybe that fixed it? You removed an older version and then reinstalled a new, fixed version perhaps?
Im using ver 2.1.4.0 of the support center and version 2.1.6.45 of SW Update. I havent had an issue as of yet since i posted so maybe updating SW Update yesterday (I think) does fix this issue like Robby said. I think that anyone else that comes here with this issue its worth comparing version numbers of them two pieces of software. Dont know if i just got a dodgy help person but this is the highlights of my convo with Samsung. I have skipped the part where i explained the problem as everyone knows what that is and straight to her reply. I had also provided her a link to here which she said she could not open as they cant open third party links.
Diana K :
I understand your concern, but there are no reported issues with the Laptops.
Me :
well im reporting the issue now arent i
Diana K :
For Windows 8, you need to install all the drivers on the Laptop to access the websites.
Me :
i have done all of that
Diana K :
They are no reported issues on our Samsung websites.
Me :
it is all over the chrome and firefox support sites
Diana K :
Have you upgraded the Laptop or is it a default OS?
Me:
upgraded, but this issue is occurring on both upgrades and fresh laptops with windows 8 packaged on them
Diana K :
Windows 8 is not default software, you've upgraded it, so try to contact Micorsoft regarding the issue once.
Me : I'm going to be posting this chat onto those forums when i'm done as all you are doing is looking to pass the blame the issue is not on any other laptops, it is on samsung laptops
She then told me to just phone in as she couldnt do much.
-
shane_tactical1 5 years ago I have just got the issue again so on my machine having, what i believe is, the most up to date version of SW Update and Support Centre didnt remove the issue altogether. Its not as frequent though now.
-
TheAncient 5 years ago Forget Samsung support, I already tried to mail them. I AM using a brand new Series 9 notebook with preinstalled samsung crap software.
Even the old version of SW Update worked fine for me, but I did also update the version a couple of days ago. Not sure which versions runs currently (now using my desktop).
I don't care about Support Center any longer, I don't want to have such software on my system, It digs in place where it has nothing to search and I think it will not help you for anything. Even SW Update is crap, sorry. No descriptions, no display of current versions. Sorry Samsung FAIL. Built hardware and leave software to someone who is able to do it. It is really annoying.
-
shane_tactical1 5 years ago Yeah i agree they suck at software. Kies is just terrible. What did you mean no version number on sw update though? I can see the version number of everything. I have uninstalled the support centre to see if that fixes it. I have the samsung series 7. After upgrading to windows 8 the dual graphics cards didnt function correctly and so my image files in photoshop and illustrator rendered terribly. Im a designer so that was a big issue. I fiddled with updated drivers from intel and amd trying to fix the issue. I got it working but at the expense of not being able to use the brightness controls. An sw update finally fixed the issue though. So it can be useful. My biggest issues since upgrading to windows 8 are this and a BSOD if i leave my external HDD plugged in and the laptop goes to sleep.

TheAncient 5 years ago I would expect displaying the current (!) version of the installed software and a description/changelog of all available udpates until the newest. The most simple thing. They can hide it unter "Advanced" should it be too much information for the common user. A recommendation if an update is critical/recommended/optional is fine.
The software totally failed on the BIOS Update. I did this manually then.
What it does: Displaying the newest version, no description of anything. I am not even really sure if I have the software installed it displays. Not as worse as KIES but still no highlight.

shane_tactical1 5 years ago You can check the drivers by going to device manager and then checking the version number to verify that its right. I haven't had an issue with the updater. Its been quite useful for me. I got the series 7 as it has 8GB of ram and an i7 processor. I love the laptop but i think i should have held off upgrading to Windows 8. I use Firefox and Chrome daily when i'm building websites so its a pain having this issue.

Gwytherinn 5 years ago Hey, I appreciate this information. I encountered this thread a week ago through a search after seeing a thread with a number of other Samsung users having the same problem. I never would have guessed it was specific to Samsung computers if I hadn't encountered that thread by chance. I uninstalled Samsung Support Center and I haven't had a problem since. Really, I was going insane. I had tried every solution I could think of and absolutely nothing worked.
Thank you!!!

ap11 5 years ago I have a brand new Samsung NP780Z5E, and I'd had this happening to me since I got the computer. Didn't even think it was a Samsung-only thing. I was having the problem regardless of the browser that I use, so then I thought it must be something with the computer. All software is up-to-date, and I tried to uninstall most of the bloatware. Looks like I will have to go further and uninstall the Samsung-branded support center. It's pretty absurd if their software is interfering with the loading of CSS. Not even sure how they would program something like that.
Edit: after uninstalling Support Center, I'm still having the error with a few sites, but it's not as bad as it was before.

anzelina 4 years ago Same annoying problem here with Firefox styles. I am using a new Samsung laptop and the styles are not loading sometimes for some webpages. Refreshing the page always helps but is getting tired.
I uninstalled Samsung Support Center with no solution to the problem. Still the css is not loading. Any other suggestions?
