I am using Firefox 16.0.1 on a Mac running Lion 10.7.4 and Java 7 update 09. When reloading any web page that uses Java, a new Firefox task starts which uses 100% of the cpu and hangs Firefox. By doing a 'force quit' on that task, Firefox successfully reloads the page and the cpu and Firefox return to normal.

I have disabled add add-ons, I have re-downloaded and installed both Firefox and Java and nothing makes any difference. I have even gone back to Firefox 13.0 but it had the same problemI would welcome some help please.
