every update causes coupon printing problems

Posted

i need a firefox version that does not affect my coupons. every time i update, i have trouble printing coupons from various sites.

Chosen solution

Thanks, John99, I'd be happy to. Depending upon the forum, some are more sensitive than others concerning what you may post...

We are still in the process of making our site compatible with all 64 bit web browsers and that could be a problem for many of you. If you're using Windows 7, 64 bit, trying launching the iexplore.exe (32 bit browser that comes with Win7) and use it to go to coupons.com and try printing. The other thing you want to make sure you do is check to see if the coupon printer is enabled in your browser. So, in Firefox, click Tools, Addons, then Plugins and look for the coupon printer to make sure it is 1) installed in the browser and 2) enabled.

I'd be happy to assist directly, if anyone is having these compatibility issues. Please send an email to socialmedia@couponsinc.com with your contact information and one of our engineers will be happy to reach out to you.

Hi Gregg,

We tend not to deal with support of third party software on this forum, but if a user asks a question and it is related to Firefox we do try to provide answers.

Note that the majority of Firefox users use the Windows OS, and the standard releases of Firefox for Windows are 32 bit browsers. When I visit your site from 64 bit Firefox I get http://www.coupons.com/install/nosupport.

I am not personally interested in coupon printing, but I am aware, from information on this forum that some Firefox users are.

Update On a 64 bit Windows OS using a 32 bit Firefox install (I used fx 17.0a2) I do see your site correctly; but have not attempted to install or use your plugin.

Question owner

hello everyone and thank you sooo much for your help. i reinstalled the coupon printer i don't know how many times, but it wouldn't work. i finally rebooted the printer, modem, computer, everything. whatever it was, it worked. before that, the coupon printer wouldn't show up in my add-ons. i do really appreciate all the help. i'm no geek. i learned hands on on my xp. it was getting old, so i updated to win7/64 bit. a geek friend customized it for me. everyone has a first day, and plenty of mistakes to make. we are all learning-eh? thanks for the time and space. lorelio

Question owner

hi, again. now that you mention it, i cannot print coupons. if this isn't your forte, don't answer. maybe you can help someone else. this has to do with java. java security is blocking redplum from my computer. i have emailed redplum about this, but they won't answer me. i don't know i would understand java if they answered me. i understand you easily (kinda). fortunately, del monte, the matriarch site, has graciously snail mailed the coupons that i wanted, which kind of defeats the purpose of having coupons available online. we've been using coupons for 30 years now. they have made the difference between having or not for some fine products. thanks again for the time. lorelio

Coupons.com works fine. Smart Source does not.

Just the opposite for me. Smart Source used to not print and coupons.com did. Now I can print from Smart Source but not coupons.com. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I wish tech people would LEAVE STUFF ALONE OR FIX IT FULLY BEFORE GOING LIVE! It is so completely aggrivating for us!

Hi Crystalsno,

Please make sure that you have the coupon printer installed and enabled in your browser.

I had already done that quite a few times before I posted in here. I've tried every suggestion on this site and the coupon's site several times. I've un installed and re installed, yet Firefox doesn't seem to recognize it's been installed even though I can see it IN the add ons. Please don't insult my intelligence any further with simple things that I've already checked and done like you just did.
