Firefox 3.x crashes ?Printer? (Question before upgrading)
Firefox 3.6.13 (I do not think it is updating)?
Windows XP SP3 UP-TO-DATE
Epson workforce 545.
MANY crashes when trying to print - mostly associated with preview.
I obviously need to upgrade but want to know: 1. Which of the newer versions use less resources?
and 2. Whether I could get an *older* version (rather than 11.x) i.e. a non-beta (debugged) version.
Thanks

Firefox 14 uses less resources than any other version, plus is faster (the real measure of resource consumption).
There is no older version, Firefox 14 is the only version receiving security updates right now. There is no need to stay with older versions now.
It depends, did you use firefox's password manager to remember them?
My suggestion, upgrade to firefox 14, update any add-ons, and come back here with questions :)

Firefox 3.6.13 is from Dec 2010 and is no longer supported.
Firefox 14.0.1 was released on July 17th.

Thanks,
1. How is 14 on system resources (i.e. efficiency?)
2. I want to use an older version that has been around a while Which version is most stable?
3. Also, is "forgetting" userIDs and passwords a browser problem or the Web site problem? Thanks again!

Okay....
I will do as you suggest.
And yes I do use Firefox's password manager.
Thank you!
Unfortunately it is FAR slower than 3.6.
I don't know where anything is either.

I'd suggest resetting firefox. This will speed it right back up :) Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings.
As for the new features, where things are, etc. Try reading Get started with Firefox - An overview of the main features.
Hi and thanks for replying
After giving the PC a rest (clearing temp files and disc cleanup) the browser is running really well!
I'm holding off on resetting for now but will post back.
The "Get started with Firefox - An overview of the main features | How to | Firefox Help" https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/get-started-firefox-overview-main-features looks EXCELLENT! Thanks
