Chosen solution

To all who have this problem i solved it with my self.

Just go to google chrome and download it and then go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\RockMelt and then copy all of the file user data and then go to C:\Users\TOSHIBA\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome and remove the user data file and paste the one you copied everythign now in melt is in chrome then from forefox make sync from other browser then choose google chrome!

Note! if you didnt find the AppData file it is hidden go to Setting of files and folders and check the box said show all hidden files.

Good Luck!

I think Rockmelt uses Chrome under the covers, so hopefully some of the Chrome transfer features will work.

Does this work? Import bookmarks from Google Chrome

If not, how about this two-step procedure:

(1) Export HTML-format bookmarks file from Rockmelt: Importing or exporting bookmarks - Google Chrome Help

(2) Import HTML-format bookmarks file into Firefox: Import Bookmarks from an HTML file

Regarding passwords, there are utilities to extract Chrome passwords (e.g., NirSoft ChromePass), but I don't know whether there is a simple way to Firefox to import them from that format.

No idea about history.

Rockmelt is not something I am familiar with, but I guess it is this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RockMelt

You may not be able to import all data from Rockmelt to Firefox, but at least bookmarks will import, and possibly history and cookies. This article should help you:

It may well be wise to keep Rockmelt alive in case you find there is data that you are unable to transfer but can look at and manually copy.

Hi abdallahcr7, what did you actually try?

To EXPORT BOOKMARKS from Rockmelt, see the attached screen shots.

In order to produce these screen shots, I installed Rockmelt, and imported some bookmarks from Firefox. Hopefully you can take it from here, because I'm not going to give them my Facebook password.

Unless you find more information in a web search than I did, or a recovering Rockmelt users group, that experiment sounds like a logical one.

I suggest making a backup of your Rockmelt folders before trying to migrate your data to Chrome. I believe they are under:

c:\users\your-user-name\appdata\local

Perhaps Rockmelt support can help you get your data out of their files. Or you could wait a few days to see whether anyone familiar with Rockmelt visits this thread.

While trying to get further help why not run both browsers at the same time.

By now I am sure you have managed to export and import all your bookmarks,

If necessary can you transfer passwords manually. Firefox is able to list passwords, is Rockmelt able to do that ?

Did you try migrating from Rockmelt to Chrome as was mentioned earlier in the thread ?

You are probably much more likely to find specialist advice about Rockmelt elsewhere.

abdallahcr7, I am in NO WAY a programmer or that smart about computers but I am tired of RockMelt's slow ways and would like to transfer everything over as well. I will not be using firefox, but instead chrome. I would love any help you can give me. The bookmarks I have imported already; it's the passwords that I need help with. Thank you!!!
