Because you cannot install Firefox on an iPhone?

If not, install it first and then follow the instructions in this article: How to set up Firefox Home on your iOS device (iPhone and iPad)

Why did the developers of Firefox Home not just make a Firefox browser for iOS and be done with it?
Apple will not allow a Gecko based browser (or any engine other than webkit) on iOS.
