problem with hardware keyboard not writing capital letters in firefox on a htc desire z

i have a desire z but i can not write capital letters pwith the hardware keyboard. this was fixed in an old version and now the bugg is back. it works fine with onscreen keyboard but the hardware keyboard can only write small letters. also when i enter the master password the fn key dont work so i can not write stuff like numbers or % either.
