Firefox crashes after Update to IE9

After I have updated my Internet Explorer from version 8 to 9 (via Windows Updates) Firefox crashes everytime I try to start it. I already reinstalled Firefox and removed IE9 but nothing changes. Firefox starts only in "safe mode".

Try to disable hardware acceleration.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
