My internet connection to various web sites all of a sudden became very slow, with what looks like frequent stops or buffering. What should I do?

Make sure that your security softwares are not interfering with Firefox.

Perform the suggestions mentioned in the following articles:

Check and tell if its working.

Might not be related to your problem but do the following too:
  • Update All your Firefox Plugins -> https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
  • When Downloading Plugins Update setup files, Remove Checkmark from Downloading other Optional Softwares with your Plugins (e.g. Toolbars, McAfee, Google Chrome, etc.)
