I set up Firefox Sync and yahoo.com automatically opens Did I make a mistake in setting up the sync?

I will close that yahoo tab, then continue working...but after a few minutes, it will load again.

Before logging out of Firefox, I make certain the yahoo tab is closed.

But when I launch firefox the next time, the yahoo page loads again.

Thank you for advice in what I'm doing to cause this so I can stop yahoo from loading
