I have lost all my working history.How do i uninstall this version of firefox

I unwittingly downloaded the latest verson of firefox an I have lost all my headlie boxes and searchboxes..in fact I have nothing left except this version which does not even have a close down 'x'. I cannot access my emails or history. In fact this version is eseless to me. I want it uninstalled please.
