"Send a link" no longer brings up Thunderbird

I set up Firefox 8.0.1 in Windows7 in a new computer. When I am on a web page and I go to File-Send Link, Thunderbird used to open with a new e-mail, with the web page URL in the body. In this new set-up, nothing happens when I click on Send Link. Is there some setting I have to change?
