Thank you for your prompt and helpful answer to my question about shortcuts to web pages. It works! Where I went wrong was that I was trying to pull off the icon at the very upper-left corner, rather than the one to the left of the URL.

</p><p>This is actually really easy to do. All you have to do is go to the webpage that you want to bookmark. Click on the site icon to the left side of the URL and drag the icon to your desktop.
