How can I set FireFox9 not to accept(unchecked) cookies as default? Except for this computer my other computers(3) are by default not accepting(unchecked) cookies in the privacy settings.

I have 3 laptops and a desktop, all are using Firefox 9.01 onXP3. For some reason, this laptop whenever I start FireFox, the default in the Tools/Options/Privacy- Accept cookies from sites is; (checked). Even if I unchecked them to be my desired setting, it always defaults to Accept(checked). My question is how come in my other computers, FireFox 9 does not default to Accept cookies (unchecked)? This is my desired setting, hence.. this post.
