Why change the headers we like so much?

I have just uninstalled Firefox 9.0.1 because I simply cannot get on with the way you have rearranged the headers, and I have reinstalled Firefox 3.6 which I like so much but which you say you will not support for much longer.

Why did you find it so necessary to remove the File, Edit, View, History etc. tabs that we have in 3.6?

For me the changes you have made are completely unacceptable, and I implore you to restore the tabs/headers we have in 3.6 in a future version, even if this only an option.

Will you consider doing this?

You can change the interface and can, in fact, make current Firefox versions look more like Firefox 3.6

Thank you all for your replies. Tomatoweb, your solution was easy to follow and I now have what I want - thank you! It begs the question why menu bar was not ticked on the standard download.

I think that's because Mozilla wanted a "New Look" like Google Chrome.....
