Just bought a MacBook Pro---was using an 8 year old PowerBook G4. I am setting up my MacBook and would like to transfer my bookmarks in an easier way than going to each website and bookmarking them. Can I use the article about syncing firefox settings between computers??? If so, Part 1 talks about set up on my main computer----I take it my MacBook Pro is NOW my main computer......or is there an easier way to do this???

Hi milkbone,

I would take a look at the article Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles and at Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer if you are planning on moving to the new computer and not using the old one.

If you still plan on using the old one or if you think using sync would be easier to transfer your information, you should enable Firefox Sync on your OLD computer first. Then you would sync all of the bookmarks to your new computer. After that, you could remove your old computer from sync if you are not going to use it anymore.

Hopefully this helps!
