when I click on links within certain web sites, I get the message "waiting for cdn.krxd.net" - link never opens

When I click on links to content within some web sites, I get a blank screen with the message "waiting for cdn.krxd.net" and the page never loads. Running Firefox 8.0 on Windows XP Pro SP3. Have been using Firefox for years on this platform and never had this issue before.
