Every few months a few book mark folders that have existed for months, disappear and its links end up in a different folder. Sometimes the links disappear with the folder. There is no error message. How can I stop this from happening?
The automatic backups from the last week are of no use because I often do not notice that the folder is missing until weeks after the the file corruption. Often I just go to a folder and find a bunch of links that don't belong there. I then look for their correct folder and find that it is missing. Sometimes a folder just gets renamed for no apparent reason. I think that happens when all the links in folder "A" disappear along with folder "B" leaving the links from folder "B" in folder "A" . It is not a problem saving the folder and links because I have seen them and used them for months before they disappear. It is usually only one or two folders that disappear each time this happens which is once every 3 or 4 months. It is very annoying to have to manually backup the bookmarks all the time and keep rebuilding the file.
