Firefox is using a lot of CPU and hangs on 100%, slowing everything down, I tried all the known issues with addons and plugins, this hasn't resolved the issue unfortunately. I checked error consol, and extracted the warning as shown in the subject box above, and the corresponding i message: support.mozilla.com : server does not support RFC 5746, see CVE-2009-3555

Can you help at all please? Many thanks

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

See:

That CVE error usually doesn't prevent from loading a web server, so you can probably just ignore it (it is meant for website administrators).

Using Firefox 10.0.2 or Firefox-12.0a2 [Aurora], Adobe Flash Player 11.1.102.63, JAVA Version 6 Update 31. This problem began after updating Firefox, then saw I needed to update Flash, then saw messages I needed to update JAVA. I did as directed and still seeing artifacts on various Website that have pictures on them. Searching for a fix to seeing "Black areas in pictures show green dots" and multiple variations of the theme return problems with Firefox versions dating back to the 3.+ & 4.+ series and no help for the latest version 10.0.2 or Firefox-12.0a2 as of March 6, 2012. I've tried going to Safe Mode, turning Extension/ Plugins on & off, removing/ replacing same Ext/ PIs, new profile, remove/ reinstall versions of Firefox, even gone as far as removing all traces of removed Firefox version from files/ folders/ Registry entries and then doing a clean install, all this done and still no joy.

I'm having the same or similar issue, due to ATI no longer providing updated Catalyst drivers for my ATI Radeon X1950XTX Crossfire cards. When I go to about:support and look over Troubleshooting Information, I see under Graphics as follows...

WebGL RendererBlocked for your graphics driver version. Try updating your graphics driver to version 10.6 or newer.GPU Accelerated Windows0. Blocked for your graphics driver version. Try updating your graphics driver to version 10.6 or newer.

Here's the kicker, my $800+ dual Crossfire graphics cards went to Legacy not long after purchasing them, when ATI was bought out by AMD, and I cannot afford to buy newer cards. The newest driver found when I go to ATI Driver page is version 10.2! I've tried using CCC & Driver version 10.6 or newer and they don't work, so having Firefox and Aurora tell me to upgrade to 10.6 to unblock these does not compute. Turning off Hardware Acceleration doesn't work, using about:config and resetting webgl.disabled to True doesn't work. I've been trying for weeks, or since Firefox was updated to version 10, to resolve an issue I have seeing bright green artifacts where pictures on Webpages would usually show areas of black. Not sure if this will work but I'll try attaching one picture that hopefully shows the green specks on a picture that I see on multiple Sites.

This is more than a little annoying! I've been trying to find a solution for weeks now and getting nowhere. Please help!
